SMWIA v UTU

Early in December of 2007, the Sheet Metal Workers filed suit in Federal Court in Washington, D.C. Just as they are bankrolling the seven intervening Vice Presidents, this is another attempt to force the UTU International to complete the SMART merger without allowing UTU members to vote on a SMART constitution.

Presently, this case has been put on hold by the Judge in Washington, D.C. until the Michael, et al v UTU case in Ohio is litigated.
